Low-cost Instrumental developments
Observatorio UCM
During the last years, our group has designed and built several zero-cost instrumental developments for the Observatorio UCM (the astronomical observatory of Universidad Complutense de Madrid). Examples are FOCUSS, the Fiber Optics Complutense University Solar Spectrograph or the HELIOSTAT. A compendium of all these projects can be found at this web page.
Light Pollution
As part of the research on Light Pollution, we are developing low-cost photometers to measure Night Sky Brightness. Read Zamorano et al. "Low-cost photometers and open source software for Light Pollution research" IAU 2015.
