Stellar libraries
Some people of our group have devoted many years to compile empirical stellar libraries with the aim of providing evolutionary synthesis models with good libraries of Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs).
Up to date, the following libraries have been published:
- A library comprising 706 stars in the near-IR spectral range (from 8348 to 9020 Å with a FWHM of 1.5 Å) which spans a wide range of updated atmospheric parameters. This library is part of the thesis work of Andrés Javier Cenarro.
- A library comprising 985 stars obtained with the 2.5m INT telescope (La Palma), and covering the spectral range 3525-7500 Å at 2.3 Å (FWHM) spectral resolution. This library is part of the thesis work of Patricia Sánchez-Blázquez.
- A library comprising 220 stars obtained at the 3.5m telescope at CAHA and with the 3.56m TNG (La Palma), and cover the region around 2.3 micron (K band) at 6.8 and 11.3 Å (FWHM for CAHA and TNG, respectively) spectral resolution. This library is part of the thesis work of Esther Mármol Queraltó.
