Ma. Carmen Eliche at Roma
Ma. Carmen Eliche Moral has attended the workshop 'Formation and Evolution of Galaxy Disks' organized by the Vatican Observatory in Rome at the Centro Convegni Matteo Ricci on 1-5 October 2007.
The workshop topics included properties of nearby galaxy disks Star formation laws, chemical evolution, outskirts and environment, disk edges, accretion onto disks, mergers, secular evolution of disks, evolution of disk structural properties, disk formation in a hierarchical Universe. Ma. Carmen Eliche Moral (in the picture during the talk) presented her work in 'Secular evolution of bulges induced by satellite accretion'.( read the poster).
Juan Carlos Muñoz Mateos and Armando Gil de Paz from UCM also attended the workshop. They presented 'Studying the Radial Variations of SEDs in Nearby Disks' and 'Extended UV Emission in Nearby Galaxy Disks' (Invited talk).
